Residential Care Service

Our Residential Care Service has been in operation since 1968.
The project is a therapeutic community of young adults living and working together to become more settled, to overcome past difficulties and move forward with fresh confidence, self esteem, a plan and skills for the future.

Our Staff and Volunteers
In the farm community, there are 8 places available for young men and women who have had difficult histories, who have care needs and are without a home.  Residential volunteers live and work alongside the young people, offering positive peer support and upholding the practice of community living. A Project Manager and Project Worker provide daytime support.  Visiting staff help residents into future work, training or educational opportunities and to secure sustainable housing for moving on to.  We also have a Farm Enterprise Manager and Project Worker to coach residents in gardening and working with the animals.

A Better way of Life
Residents are sensitively supported into an active and productive lifestyle.
The community is registered with the Care Commission, working in partnership with residents, their carers and placement staff to develop and progress care plans.
The service benefits from 36 years of experience in providing for young people whose lives have been chaotic, working with them to learn to manage their own problems more effectively and settle to a better way of life.
