Accommodation and Support
The project provides good quality accommodation: the current building was purpose built and opened in 1997. 

Placements at the communities include:
-  full board and lodgings, including all personal provisions. Residents receive a personal allowance, travel assistance and use of the 'community socialising' fund for additional leisure and recreation
-  personal support from individual key workers in the context of a therapeutic community
-  group work through the operation of community living, with peer support from a team of residential volunteers
-  care planning and review in conjunction with local authority social workers, other professionals, family and carers

In addition, the following are provided:
-  some financial help from the Cyrenian Trust with personal welfare needs
-  a wide variety of recreational activities delivered on site in response to the interests e.g. art therapy, drama, video making, massage therapy
-  optional weekly outings to cinema, bowling and sports, access to personal development courses
-  guidance, information and practical assistance with employment, training, education and recreational development from Cyrenians' Employment, Training and Education service.
-  specialist advice, information and assistance with move on options from Cyrenians' Housing service.
-  access to private rented flats through the Cyrenians' SmartMove Project and Tenancy Support Service.

Making a Referral
Referrals are welcome from social work offices, council housing services, hospitals, prisons, voluntary groups and others.  Our staff will be able to discuss funding sources for placements and the admissions process.  If you would like to make a referral to the Farm or the City Community, please call (0131) 333 1392
